What we do
The third meal should be light, cold and undemanding
Late Shabbos afternoon, the light going, a shul or a home settling into the third meal. This is not the meal that needs a hot buffet.
We put up tuna and egg salads, dips, cold fish, challah rolls and cakes. It travels well, it sits well, and it is set out before Shabbos so there is nothing to do once the meal starts. Frequently sponsored for a yahrzeit or in honour of a simcha, and we will handle it with the appropriate quiet.
